Does it really need a neutral wire?

Yes — and this is the #1 install issue. Most modern Lebanese homes have neutral at the wall switch, but older homes (especially with switched live only) may not. Check by opening your wall switch and looking for two wires (live + neutral). No neutral = this won’t work. Consider rewiring or use a Zigbee version paired with a separate relay.

Does it work with roller doors / garage doors?

Yes — works with any motor that accepts up/down signal inputs. Roller shutters, roller doors, projector screens, smart blinds.

How do I wire the up/down buttons?

Connect the up and down outputs of the MINI-RBS to your motor’s up and down inputs. The switch sends a brief pulse in the corresponding direction. Wiring diagram is on Sonoff’s documentation page 5-6.

Can I add a contactor for heavier motors?

Yes — if your motor draws more current than the MINI-RBS can handle directly, wire a contactor in between. The MINI-RBS triggers the contactor, the contactor drives the motor.

Can I replace it with a Zigbee version?

Yes — Sonoff also makes a Zigbee Roller Shutter Switch (MINI-ZBRBS). Same function, different protocol — pick Zigbee if you already have a Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro or prefer offline reliability.

What if I ordered the wrong one?

Return it unopened in the original packaging and we’ll process the exchange. Just message us on WhatsApp before returning.
