  • Can you use multiple devices to check temperature/humidity in multiple areas?

    You can use multiple SwitchBot indoor outdoor thermometers to monitor the temperature and humidity data in different areas. You can add multiple temperature humidity sensors through your mobile phone and name them, and then you can monitor the temperature and humidity of different areas through the SwitchBot app. This SwitchBot thermometer has an IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating, and with its mini compact design, you can place it in any indoor or outdoor space to monitor its environment.

  • Is it possible to use this device with Bluetooth only - logging data on an Android or iPhone ?

    The SwitchBot indoor and outdoor thermometer and hygrometer is a Bluetooth product, compatible with both Android and iOS systems. You can certainly use only the Bluetooth function of this product. You can view or export data through your phone within the Bluetooth range (120m, unobstructed). The on-board storage days for the SwitchBot outdoor temperature and humidity sensor is 68 days, which means you need to transfer the data to your phone every 68 days and cache the data within two years in the phone app.

  • Does this sensor support exploring data via syslog or SNMP?

    The data of the SwitchBot outdoor temperature and humidity meter is currently only supported to be exported in CSV format.

  • What is the maximum number of sensors you can have on one system?

    There is no quantity limit for the temperature and humidity sensors that the SwitchBot system can connect to.

  • What are the minimum/maximum temperature recording?

    According to SwitchBot operating temp is from -20C to 60C  although manual recommends not using the device below -10C. You might also consider operating temperature when you are using rechargeable batteries with the device (manual suggest range between 5C and 45C).

  • Is it possible to use this without setting up or using an account? I only want to connect to my tablet without any other network functionality.

    To use it, please download the SwitchBot App from the app store and create an account. Once you’ve added the indoor and outdoor thermohygrometer to the app, you can view and export temperature, humidity, absolute humidity, dew point temperature, and VPD data within Bluetooth range. We take our users’ data security seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information using various security technologies (including TLS encryption) to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
