No, the camera works on Wi-Fi.
- How can I view past events from my camera?
Inside the application, it is very easy to rewind and see the past events. Please note that a microSD card should be inserted in the camera, you can purchase one here.
- If my Wi-Fi is down, can I still view my camera?
Unfortunately not, because the camera needs to be connected to the internet in order to function.
- Can I stream the camera when I am not home with my phoneās cellular network? (3G, 4G)
Yes, the camera be viewed anywhere when the device is connected to your home Wi-Fi network and when the phone has access to the Internet.
- Does the camera work on batteries?
Unless specified otherwise, the camera does not have an internal battery, so it needs to be plugged into a power source or UPS to be used.
Some exceptions are the Eufy Doorbell Camera, Nest Battery Doorbell, Reolink Argus 2E, and Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 (base station has to be wired)
- What cables do I need for the installation of the camera?
None! the camera comes with all necessary accessories such as adapter and power cable.
- Do I have to remove the microSD card and plug it in a computer to view the past events?
No need, because the events can easily be viewed in the application on your phone. The camera processes the microSD card content and allows you to see it without the hassle of removing the card. You can also download saved clips to your phone.
- How many hours/days does the microSD card record when used in a camera?
If you use a 32 GB microSD card, it can store up to 3 full days (72 hours) of full HD recordings.
- Is a microSD card included with the camera?
- Does the camera have night vision ?
Yes, of course.
- If I have multiple cameras, do I need multiple microSD cards?
Yes. Each camera requires its own microSD card in order to store video recordings.
- Can the camera be mounted upside down on the ceiling?
Yes, the camera can be mounted upside down on the ceiling and the video image can be flipped 180Ā° in the app.
- Can I have multiple cameras installed in the same home on the same Wi-Fi network?
Yes.Ā Multiple cameras are supported when they are all connected directly to the Wi-Fi router at home.
- Do I need to delete old events from the microSD card, to make room for the new events?
No, the camera is smart enough to handle the storage. When the microSD card is full, the camera willĀ overwrite theĀ oldestĀ footage and roll forward.Ā When the microSD card gets full, the oldest hour of recordings is deleted. That continues every time the card gets full.
- Can I see at night?
Yes, of course.
