Will it protect my fridge from EDL voltage spikes?

Yes — that’s the whole point. Set a safe voltage range (e.g. 180–250V), and the breaker trips the moment voltage goes outside that range. Your fridge stays disconnected until voltage normalizes.

What voltage range should I set?

For most home appliances, 180V minimum and 250V maximum is a safe range. The breaker physically supports 76V minimum and 265V maximum, but those extremes are wide enough to still damage equipment.
