Lebanon Power Planner

Two answers every home here needs: what fits on your generator subscription without tripping the breaker, and how long your battery backup carries you through a cut. Pick your appliances once — see both.

1 · Pick what you run

Typical ratings — edit the watts if you know your appliance’s label. Motor appliances also show their start-up spike.

2 · Does it fit your subscription?

Generator subscriptions are sold in amperes. At 220 V, each ampere carries about 220 W.

Fits.

3 · How long on your battery?

Pick your setup, or type your own numbers.

estimated runtime with your selection

Your inverter cannot carry this load — runtime is not the problem, the inverter is.

Estimates for planning only, using typical ratings — real numbers depend on your exact appliances, wiring, voltage, and battery age. This is not electrical advice. For any wiring work, use a certified electrician.

Each kWh from the generator costs 41,973 LBP right now (June 2026) — see the Generator Tariff Tracker for the monthly price and history.

Stop guessing — measure it

A smart breaker or power monitor shows your real load live, so you know exactly how close you are to the limit before it trips.

Common questions

What does 5 amperes mean in watts?

At 220 volts, 5 amperes carries about 1,100 watts. That covers a refrigerator, TV, router, and LED lights together — but not a kettle, iron, or air conditioner on top.

Why does the breaker trip when the AC starts?

Motor appliances draw a short start-up spike of 3 to 6 times their running power. A regular 12,000 BTU air conditioner can spike near 4,000 watts for a moment. If the line is already loaded, that moment trips the breaker.

How long will a 200Ah battery run my router and TV?

A 12V 200Ah lead-acid battery holds about 2,400 watt-hours, but only around half is usable, and the inverter loses some more. That leaves roughly 1,000 usable watt-hours: about 6 hours for a router, TV, and lights together, or 2 to 3 days for the router alone.

Why does lithium last longer than lead-acid at the same Ah?

Lead-acid and AGM batteries should only be discharged to about 50% to protect their lifespan. Lithium batteries can safely use about 80% of their capacity, so the same rated Ah gives more usable energy.
