Cut the breaker. Install the TH Origin between your wall supply and the appliance (water heater, pool pump, AC). 10 minutes for a basic electrician.

Plug in your sensor
Clip the WTS01 or THS01 into the RJ9 jack on the TH Origin. Place the probe where it needs to measure.

Set rules in eWeLink
Create a scene: "If water temp > 60°C → relay OFF" or "If humidity > 70% → fan ON". Phone notifications on every event.

Walk away
TH Origin handles on/off automatically. Set Power-on State to "Last State" so EDL cuts don't break the schedule.

Sonoff TH Origin – Smart Temperature & Humidity Switch

The Sonoff TH Origin is a smart switch that can connect to external temperature and humidity sensors (sold separately). Based on the sensor readings, it automatically turns connected devices on or off – for example, turning on a heater when the room is cold, or activating a dehumidifier when humidity is high.

It’s the more affordable version of the TH Elite (without the LCD screen), perfect for automation setups where you don’t need to read the display on the device itself.

Which sensor do I need? ›
Pick the WTS01 waterproof probe for water heaters, pools, and pipes. Pick the THS01 indoor sensor for room air (ACs, dehumidifiers, baby rooms). TH Origin needs a probe to do automation - without one, it's just a regular smart switch.
What's the difference vs TH Elite? ›
Same automation, same probe support, same 16A. TH Elite adds a live LCD on the device (shows live readings without opening the app) and a few more rule slots. TH Origin is the budget option if you don't care about the LCD.
Is it easy to install? ›
Same as installing any wired smart switch. For plug-in appliances, you can wire it through yourself in 10 minutes. For hard-wired water heaters, any electrician handles it in 15 minutes.
Will it work with my existing smart home setup? ›
Yes - Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Home (via the eWeLink → Apple Home bridge). Sits in your eWeLink dashboard with your other Sonoff devices.
Does it survive EDL cuts? ›
