Plan your route

Clean the surface
Wipe each spot with a dry cloth or rubbing alcohol. Adhesive holds best on smooth, clean, dry surfaces.

Stick + press
Peel the backing off one clip at a time, press onto your mark, hold for 3 seconds. Move on to the next.

Snap in the rope
Once all clips are placed, snap the Neon Rope Light 2 into each clip following your shape.

Do I need tools to install? ›
No - peel the adhesive backing, press the clip onto a clean dry surface for 3 seconds, snap the neon rope into place. Done.
How many clips do I need? ›
Rule of thumb: one clip every 30 cm on a straight run, plus an extra clip at every corner or bend. A 5 m straight install needs about 16-18 clips. Bend-heavy designs (logos, letters) need more.
Will they hold up outdoors? ›
The clips themselves are durable, but the adhesive isn't designed for full outdoor exposure (UV, rain). For outdoor installs use the Govee Mounting Brackets for Neon Lights 2 instead - they screw in.
Will they leave marks when removed? ›
The adhesive can leave a slight residue on paint or wallpaper. To remove cleanly, warm the back with a hair dryer for 30 seconds, then peel slowly. Use rubbing alcohol on any leftover residue.
What if a clip breaks? ›
The plastic is rated tough, but if you twist a clip too hard during install it can crack. Just use one of the spares - most packs include extras.
