Broadlink RM4 Pro – IR + RF Smart Hub, Compact Size

The RM4 Pro is Broadlink’s compact hub that adds RF control on top of everything the RM4 Mini already does. Point your existing remotes at it once – TV, AC, fan, set-top box – and the app learns them. It also talks to 433MHz RF devices: old wireless light switches, motorized curtains, and gate remotes that a plain IR-only remote can’t touch.

Why people choose the Pro over the Mini: the extra RF radio. If you’ve already got Chinese-brand RF wall switches or curtain motors installed, the Mini can’t see them – the Pro can. Compared to the RM-MAX, the Pro keeps the same small footprint as the Mini (the plastic shell is barely bigger than a coaster) while still adding RF, so it’s the pick when you want RF support without the RM-MAX’s bigger hub and Bluetooth quick-pairing extras.

Setup is the same either way: open the Broadlink app, add the device, and either pick your appliance from the cloud database (it covers the large majority of AC, TV, and fan remotes sold here) or teach it directly from your existing remote in a few seconds. Once it’s paired, control everything from your phone, group devices into one-tap scenes, or hand voice control to Alexa or Google Assistant.

An optional temperature and humidity sensor (HTS2, sold separately) plugs directly into the RM4 Pro if you also want to monitor a room’s climate from the same app – the same accessory the RM4 Mini uses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the RM4 Pro and the RM4 Mini?
The Pro adds RF (433MHz) control on top of IR - so it can also learn old wireless light switches, curtain motors, and gate remotes that use RF, not just TV/AC-style IR remotes. Same size, same setup. If you only need to control IR devices, the Mini is cheaper and does the same job.
What's the difference between the RM4 Pro and the RM-MAX?
Both do IR + RF. The RM-MAX is Broadlink's larger hub with quicker Bluetooth pairing and offline automation storage (your scenes keep running even without internet). The RM4 Pro keeps a smaller, RM4-Mini-sized shell and skips those two extras - pick it when you want RF support in the smallest footprint.
Will it work with my AC?
If your AC has an infrared remote, yes - the app's cloud database covers the large majority of AC brands sold in Lebanon (Carrier, LG, Samsung, Toshiba, and more), and it auto-detects most of them. If yours isn't listed, point your existing remote at the RM4 Pro and it learns the buttons directly.
Does it work with my old RF wireless switches?
If they run on 433.92MHz (most generic Chinese RF switches do), yes. Hold the switch's transmit button near the RM4 Pro during setup and it captures the code.
Does it need a hub or bridge?
No - it connects straight to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It is the hub; nothing else to buy unless you want the optional temperature/humidity sensor.
Can I control it with my voice?
Yes - works with Alexa and Google Assistant once your appliances are set up in the Broadlink app.
Does it support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No - 2.4GHz only. Make sure your router's 2.4GHz network is on and your phone is joined to it during setup.
