How do I know which remote I need?

Look for the model code on the back of your old remote, such as BN59-01385D or YAP1FB, and choose the remote with the same code. If you cannot find it, choose a universal remote.

What is the difference between a replacement remote and a universal remote?

A replacement remote has the same layout as one original model, so it works straight away. A universal remote works with most brands, and you set it up once with a brand key or an auto search. Brand-only extras may not work on a universal remote.
