Product Details

Echo Dot Max is the most powerful Echo Dot Amazon has made. It keeps the small round shape, but inside it has two speakers: a 2.5″ woofer for deep bass and a 0.8″ tweeter for clear highs. Amazon rates it at nearly 3x the bass of the Echo Dot (5th Gen), and it adjusts its sound to the room it sits in.

It is also a smart home hub. Alexa can pair and control Zigbee, Matter and Thread devices directly, so lights, sensors, plugs and locks that use these standards connect without a separate bridge. Wi-Fi devices from brands like Sonoff and Govee work through their Alexa skills as usual.

Built-in sensors add more to your routines. The Echo Dot Max can read the room temperature, detect when someone is nearby, and respond to a tap on the top. You can use them to turn on a fan when the room gets warm, or start the lights when you walk in.

Use it as the main speaker in a bedroom, kitchen or office. Pair two Echo Dot Max speakers for richer sound, group it with other Echo speakers to play music in every room, or stream from your phone over Bluetooth. A microphone off button on top lets you turn the microphones off at any time.

No. The Echo Dot Max has a Zigbee hub built in, plus Matter and a Thread Border Router. Many Zigbee 3.0 sensors, bulbs and plugs pair to it directly from the Alexa app.

Yes. Enable the eWeLink or Govee Home skill in the Alexa app, link your account, and your devices show up in Alexa for voice control and routines.
