Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need before I can use it? ›
You need the Alexa app on your phone and an Amazon account to set it up. No subscription is needed for the app.
Does the Echo Spot have a camera? ›
No. The 2024 Echo Spot has no camera. It has a microphone off button, and you can view and delete your voice recordings in the Alexa app.
What does the screen show? ›
The 2.83-inch touch screen shows the time, the weather and the name of the song that is playing. You can choose the clock face and the display color.
Can it control Zigbee devices directly? ›
No. The Echo Spot works with Wi-Fi devices, Matter devices that use Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth mesh devices. It has no Zigbee hub, so Zigbee devices need their own bridge.
Will it work with my Sonoff devices? ›
Yes. Sonoff devices link to Alexa through the eWeLink app, and you do not need Matter for that. Zigbee sensors must first be added to the app through a Zigbee bridge.
Does it work with 5 GHz Wi-Fi? ›
Yes. It connects to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Can I use it as a Bluetooth speaker? ›
Yes. Pair your phone over Bluetooth and play music or podcasts on it. It can also send its sound to a Bluetooth speaker that does not need a PIN code.
