Open the hub's app (Aqara Home, Sonoff iHost, etc.), tap "Add Zigbee Device", long-press the switch for 5-10 seconds.

Assign scenes
Map single press, double press, and long press each to a scene. E.g. single = all lights on, double = movie mode, long = panic alert.

Stick it somewhere
Peel the adhesive backing, stick it on the wall, beside the bed, by the front door, or on the fridge. Anywhere within 30 m of the hub.

Test + iterate
Run the actions for a week. Move it or rebind the scenes until each press does exactly what you reach for it for.

Does it need a hub? ›
Yes - Aqara Zigbee devices talk through a Zigbee hub, not directly to Wi-Fi. The Aqara Hub gives full Aqara Home features. Alternatives: Sonoff iHost, ThirdReality hub, or Home Assistant with a Zigbee dongle.
How do I pair it? ›
Open your hub's app, tap "Add Zigbee Device", long-press the switch button for 5-10 seconds. The hub finds it in about 30 seconds.
Can I trigger non-Aqara devices? ›
Yes - the switch only sends button events to the hub. Whatever scene you build can include any brand on that hub (Govee lights, Sonoff switches, AC via Broadlink). Single press could turn off all the lights AND turn off the AC.
Will it work as a doorbell? ›
Yes - pair it to your Aqara Hub and select doorbell mode. Visitors press it, the hub chimes (and your phone gets a notification). Pick from several built-in tones.
Will it work as a panic button? ›
Yes - long press can fire any scene. Configure it to trigger alarms on Aqara hubs, send urgent notifications to all family phones, even fire smart lights to flash red.
How long does the battery last? ›
Typically 1-2 years on the CR2032 coin cell. The app warns you when it gets low.
Will it work during EDL outages? ›
The switch runs on battery, so yes. The hub needs power - plug it into a UPS or generator circuit so your scenes keep working during cuts.
Is it compatible with Apple HomeKit? ›
Yes - when paired through an Aqara Hub. The switch shows up in Apple Home and button presses can fire HomeKit scenes (including non-Aqara devices).
