Why does the ceiling light turn on by itself after EDL? ›
Like any wired LED ceiling fixture, when mains power returns it turns on. Two fixes: (1) Add a smart switch (Sonoff MINIR4) in the wiring and set Power-on State to "OFF" or "Last State". (2) Use the Govee app to set a default "off after restart" behavior on the fixture itself.
Why is my lamp flickering or changing colors randomly? ›
Two common causes. (1) Power instability - low voltage from EDL or a generator can confuse the LED driver. Check voltage with a multimeter. (2) Loose wiring at the connection - re-tighten the L + N terminals. If it persists with specific colors, send us a video for warranty review.
How do I reset it? ›
Delete the device from the Govee app first. Then turn the light ON and OFF 5 times quickly (via the wall switch). It should start blinking - now ready to re-pair in Govee Home.
Can I use a 12-inch instead? ›
Yes - the 12-inch Square is a great alternative for smaller rooms (15-20 m²). Many customers wait for the 15-inch round because of the round aesthetic and the extra brightness for larger salons.
