How It Works

1
Turn off the breaker
Cut power to the outdoor circuit. Open the existing wall fixture (or prep a new wall mounting point).
2
Wire + mount
Connect Live (L) + Neutral (N) + Earth (E) from the wall to the fixture. Screw the fixture into the wall with the included hardware.
3
Pair in Govee Home
Restore power. Open Govee Home, tap +, scan or pair via Bluetooth. Follow the Wi-Fi prompt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an electrician? ›
The light is hardwired to 220V mains, so basic electrical skills are needed: turn off the breaker, connect Live + Neutral + Earth to the fixture, screw to the wall. About 20 minutes. If you're not confident, any electrician handles it in 15 minutes.
Is it compatible with my smart home? ›
Yes - Matter support means it works with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and SmartThings simultaneously. No hub needed.
How does it perform during EDL outages? ›
Set the Power-on State in Govee Home to 'Last State' - when EDL or generator power returns, the light resumes the previous scene. Wi-Fi reconnects automatically.
Is the install manual easy to follow? ›
Yes - clear step-by-step pictures with English text. The Govee Home app also walks you through pairing on-screen.
Will the motion sensor be too sensitive? ›
Adjustable in the app. You can set the trigger distance, sensitivity, the duration the light stays on after detection, and time windows (e.g. only after sunset). Tune it to skip cats and birds.
Can I disable the motion sensor and use it manually? ›
Yes - turn off motion-on in the Govee Home app. The light then only responds to schedules, voice commands, or manual on/off from the app.
Can I sync it with my other Govee outdoor lights? ›
Yes - group with the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights or the Govee Outdoor Flood Lights in Govee Home. Build a scene that lights up the whole exterior at once.
What if it breaks? ›
Smartio covers it for 6 months from delivery against factory defects. Send us your order ID and a short video on WhatsApp and we replace it free of charge - return the unit in its original box.
