Product Details

The Shelly 1 Gen4 is the full-size version of Shelly’s smallest relay. It sits in the back box behind your switch and brings the circuit online, handling loads up to 16A so it can drive bigger lights and appliances than the Mini.

It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter, works on Wi-Fi without a hub, and offers a dry, potential-free contact for switching gates, boilers and other low-voltage equipment safely. The physical switch keeps working, so the room behaves normally while you add app control, schedules and automations.

Through Matter it connects to Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa, and it runs fully local with Home Assistant. It is the simple, reliable way to make almost any wired circuit smart.

How is this different from the 1 Mini Gen4? ›
It handles 16A instead of 8A, so it suits larger loads. It is slightly bigger but still fits a standard back box.
Do I need a hub? ›
No. It runs on Wi-Fi by itself; a Zigbee or Matter hub is only for joining that network.
Does it measure energy? ›
No. For power metering choose the Shelly 1PM Gen4.
Does it work with Apple Home, Google and Alexa? ›
Yes, through Matter, plus the Shelly app.
What is the dry contact for? ›
