Most smart homes end up with everything on the phone, which is slower than a switch. The Orb 4-in-1 puts the things you do every day back under your thumb.
It has four buttons, and each one understands a single press, a double press, a triple press and a long press. That is up to 16 separate actions from one small round remote – all lights off, bedroom lamp on, water heater on for an hour, the TV scene, whatever you set.
There is no wiring and no wall box. It mounts with a magnet, with adhesive, or with screws, so it can sit on a bedside table, clip to a metal door, or live on the wall next to an existing switch. You can also pick it up and carry it to the sofa.
It switches between Zigbee mode and eWeLink-Remote mode. In Zigbee mode it runs scenes through your gateway and supports TouchLink and Home Assistant bindings, so it can talk to a light directly and respond without waiting on the cloud.
