Connect to Matter (optional)
If you want Apple Home or extra ecosystems: in eWeLink, enable Matter bridge → scan the QR with the Apple Home or Google Home app.

Pro: cheaper, 128 devices max, no Apple Home, USB power, Wi-Fi only. Ultra: 256 devices, Apple Home + Matter, Ethernet option, 200m range. If you have Apple devices or a large house, get Ultra. Otherwise Pro is enough.
Does it work with Apple Home directly? ›
Through Matter. You'll need an Apple Home hub (HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV) to bridge Matter into Apple Home. Once set up, your Sonoff sensors show up alongside your other Apple Home devices.
Ethernet or Wi-Fi — which is better? ›
Ethernet is rock-solid and uses zero Wi-Fi bandwidth. Wi-Fi is more flexible (place the hub anywhere). For mission-critical setups (security automations), Ethernet wins.
How far does the Zigbee signal reach? ›
Up to 200 meters line-of-sight in open environments. In a house with walls, expect 10-15 meters. Add mains-powered Zigbee devices (plugs, switches) as repeaters to extend range to far corners.
Will it work during internet outages? ›
Yes — local automations between Zigbee devices keep running offline. "Door sensor opens → light on" works without internet. Remote phone control needs internet to be back.
What if my hub's signal is weak in part of the house? ›
Re-locate the hub closer to the center of the house, or add Sonoff Zigbee plugs/switches between hub and far sensors — they act as repeaters and extend the mesh.
Can I migrate from Bridge Pro to Ultra? ›
Yes — re-pair your Zigbee devices to the Ultra (they appear under the new hub in eWeLink). Or run both bridges in parallel during the transition.
Does the built-in siren work like an alarm system? ›
Yes — set automations: "Door opens during Away mode → siren on", or "Water leak detected → siren + alert". Combined with sensors, it's a basic local alarm system.
