The screen is the point. At 3.6 inches it shows the current temperature and humidity, the highest and lowest of the last 24 hours, and a second sensor’s reading – all at once, readable from across the room without picking up your phone.

That second reading is the part people do not expect. Pair it with another Sonoff sensor on the same gateway and this unit will display that room too. You can sit in the living room and see the baby’s room, or check the temperature in the storage room downstairs without walking there.

Through the app you get up to six months of records with maximum, minimum and average curves, plus dew point and VPD, which matters if you are watching damp, a plant room or a wine store rather than just comfort.

It also drives automations. Humidity over your threshold can start a dehumidifier; temperature over a limit can switch on the air conditioner through a smart switch. You can set how often it reports, by threshold or by time, so you are not flooded with updates.
