Works with:
A battery-powered smart valve that screws onto your standard 3/4″ garden tap. Once installed, you can control watering from your phone — turn the water on for 10 minutes, schedule daily morning irrigation, or pair with a soil moisture sensor for fully automatic watering.
The end result: your plants stay watered even when you’re away, you stop overwatering during cooler months, and you save water during hot Lebanese summers.
💡 Pro Tip: Pair this with a Sonoff Zigbee soil moisture sensor and set an automation: water for 10 minutes whenever soil moisture drops below 40%. The system handles itself — no overwatering during cool spring days, no underwatering during heat waves. Especially powerful during Lebanese summers when traditional fixed schedules waste water or burn plants.
Yes — it’s a Zigbee valve, not Wi-Fi. You need a Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro (sold separately). Don’t have one yet? Add it to your order — the valve won’t work without it.
Standard 3/4 inch (¾”) threaded connection — fits virtually every Lebanese garden tap. If your tap is a different size, you can add a brass adapter from a hardware store.
It’s water-resistant, not fully waterproof. It survives rain and winter weather, but don’t submerge it. Install it on the tap under some kind of cover (eave, bush, simple roof) for best longevity.
Manual operation works without internet — press the physical button on the valve, or use the eWeLink app via local Zigbee. Automatic scheduled watering needs internet to set up but runs locally once configured.
2 × AA batteries (sold separately). Use good-quality alkalines — they last several months under typical garden-watering use.
It’s designed to handle winter conditions. Just don’t let it submerge in standing water (heavy rain pooling), and check the battery in cold weather (cold reduces battery life).
Yes — the app stores up to 6 months of watering history with timestamps and durations. Useful for spotting if you’re watering too much or for verifying that the schedule worked while you were away.
You can — but the valve is sized for garden taps. For indoor plants you’d need a smaller-flow setup, possibly using a smart plug to control a small pump instead.

No, the Sonoff ZigBee Smart Water Valve requires a Zigbee hub (such as the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro) to operate. It cannot connect directly to Wi-Fi.
The valve controller itself is not water-resistant. It should be installed in a protected location away from direct water exposure.
This product comes with a 6-month warranty covering factory defects. Contact Smartio within the warranty period if you experience any issues.
