How It Works

1
Cut power at the main breaker
Before opening the panel, turn off the main supply. Use a tester to confirm.
2
Clip the tray onto the rail
Most modern panels have a 35mm DIN rail running across them. Press the tray onto the rail until it clicks.
3
Snap the Sonoff in
Click the Sonoff Basic / MINIR4 / TH into the tray. It locks in firmly with a clear click.
4
Wire it in
Run L + N from the panel busbar to the Sonoff inputs. Wire the load output to the circuit you're controlling. Close the panel and restore power.

Sonoff DIN Rail Mount Tray

Most Sonoff smart switches (like the Basic R4, MINIR4, TH Elite, etc.) are not designed to mount on a DIN rail (the standard metal rail inside your electrical panel/switchboard where circuit breakers are mounted). This simple accessory solves that — snap a Sonoff device into the tray, and mount it on the DIN rail inside your electrical panel.

A small, affordable accessory that makes panel installation clean and organized.

Key Features:

  • Universal Fit: Works with most Sonoff devices including Basic R4, MINIR4, TH Elite, TH Origin, and more.
  • Easy Snap-On: Click the Sonoff device in, snap onto your DIN rail — done.
  • Clean Installation: Keeps your electrical panel tidy and organized.

💡 Pro Tip: If you’re installing multiple Sonoff switches in your panel, grab a few of these trays — they make the installation look professional and keep everything secure.

What You Get

Professional-looking panel
Smart switches snap onto the DIN rail like proper breakers. No dangling wires, no tape-wrapped lumps inside the cabinet.
Snap-on, screw-on
Click the Sonoff into the tray, click the tray onto the DIN rail. For panels without a rail, the tray also accepts screws.
Safer install
Devices stay fixed in place. No risk of a Sonoff vibrating loose and shorting against a busbar inside the panel.
Multi-device support
Compatible with Basic R4, MINIR4, TH Elite, TH Origin, and most other Sonoff in-panel modules.
Easy maintenance
Need to swap a Sonoff? Pop the tray off the rail, replace the module, snap back on. No rewiring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the DIN rail mount go inside the electrical panel?
Yes — that's exactly what it's designed for. If your panel has a DIN rail, the tray snaps onto it. If it doesn't, the tray includes screw holes to mount it directly inside the cabinet.
Is it compatible with all Sonoff devices?
Compatible with most of the in-panel Sonoff range — Basic R4, MINIR4, TH Elite, TH Origin. Wall-switch-shape devices (like the NSPanel) don't fit because they're designed for back-boxes, not panels.
Will it hold a Basic Gen5?
The tray was designed for Basic R4 and MINIR4, but in practice it accepts the Gen5 with light screw adjustment. Most installers fix it inside the panel with screws instead of relying on the snap clips.
Do I need an electrician?
If your Sonoff is already wired into the panel, you don't — just snap the tray onto the rail and click the device in. If you're wiring a Sonoff into mains for the first time, work with an electrician.
Will it hold up during EDL outages and generator switching?
Yes — it's a passive mount. EDL/generator cycling doesn't affect the tray; it's just plastic with snap clips.
Is there a manual?
Not really — snapping the tray onto a rail is self-evident. If you have an unusual panel layout, message us with a photo and we'll suggest mounting position.
